Week 7

This Lecture was about Visual Literacy. I found the lecture very interesting but there was a lot of information to take in. I therefore re read my notes highlighting important information and then began researching ‘authorship’.

Dictionary Definition

Authorship

The act of initiating a new idea or theory or writing.

I began looking at how photographs have bee doctored to create a new image by using two or three different images. This image is very interesting as the main image has been created using a mix of images.  I think these are very clever however it is not my taste.

I think this image is really interesting and quite dark. A new creature has been devised using an elephant and a bat. I love the way these two images have been fused together.

This image is Mystique (X-Men Character) combined with Greek Sculptor. 

This image is celebrity called Samuel L. Jackson (The Avenger film) with BMX bike.

This image is of Despicable Me with R2-D2 (Star Wars).

This image is of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.

 This image is of Marvel and Scarlett Johansson.

 

I also researched Fantasy photography using the internet and although i found some amazing images of magic, trolls and fairies, i could not help but think that they were false and this put me off. I prefer really photographs which depict real life events, history and people. I do not see the point of looking at a photograph which is not telling a true story. I love the history which photography has the ability to capture and retain.
